A NEW ARRANGEMENT

A NEW ARRANGEMENT

I bought this kilim last year with a client in mind and also thought if it didn't work for that project that it might go in the Blue Mountain house. Well, we went with another rug for the client, the Blue Mountain house deal is not going through and my flokati was in desperate need of a cleaning, so I thought this would be a good time to put the kilim to use. I love it too much to keep it boxed up. I also decided to rearrange the living room.

The daybed is back in front of the windows where it has lived once or twice before. It makes the room feel much wider here. I put the trunk under the string shelves where the desk used to be. The desk became the coffee table (it adjusts in height and width). The chair is now living in the opposite corner of the room with the Moroccan screen and firkin bucket. There are definitely more changes that I would like to make, some editing, adding and switching around. I was hoping to move some things Upstate first though, but now that a move has been put on hold I need a little time to rethink the plan. Stay tuned.
